Silver releases music video for “Mother”, a cover of the Danzig classic.

A project created by guitarist Felipe Machado (VIPER) and vocalist Rodrigo Cerveira is preparing the release of its first EP.

Silver , a new project by guitarist Felipe Machado (VIPER) and vocalist Rodrigo Cerveira , releases this Friday, the 19th, the music video for a version of "Mother," a classic by Danzig that was very successful in the 1990s.

Wikimetal 's YouTube channel and, like the other clips released by Silver, is directed by Raul Machado , an experienced filmmaker who has worked with Planet Hemp and Chico Science , among others. The clip also features Rob Gutierrez on bass and Rodrigo Oliveira on drums.

“We were talking about possible covers of other bands and 'Mother' immediately came to mind,” reveals Felipe. “It combines some elements of Silver, like the powerful vocals and melody, with the heaviness of the guitars. I think that's why it fit so perfectly within the band's sound spectrum.”

Rodrigo adds: “Danzig has always navigated this world of heavy yet melodic sounds, with a more punk edge that matches what we're doing in Silver. Our version aimed to pay homage to the original, with very clear riffs, but with a contemporary touch. Bringing this song into the present day was really cool.”

The duo is preparing to release their first EP, Turn Around , in 2025. Produced by Val Santos, the work includes the already released singles "Sun Over Hills," "Love is Rage," "Hard Times," and the title track. Silver's aim is to present a contemporary rock sound that engages with the tradition of arena rock. The compositions and arrangements carry a modern freshness, without abandoning the characteristic heaviness of the genre.
